announcement new GHOSTSCRIPT version 8.70

hello,

do anybody know, when a new GHOSTSCRIPT version (8.70) for HPUX will be announced ?

The reason for a new version is, that our programmer department need a newer version than the actual version 8.62.

Maybe anybody has experiences with GHOSTSCRIPT 8.70 for HPUX ?

Have you tried contacting the authors of GhostScript in the Porting & Archive Center(jemarch@gnu.org) ?

If you must have the latest version, you could download and compile the source yourself:

a programmer found some bugs but the main reason is : version 8.70 can create a pdf file,which is conform with the PDF/A ISO Standard (http://www.pdfa.org). i heard about PDF/A this week the first time.. a colleague tested version 8.70 on LINUX and it is PDF/A compatible.
