What is the difference between the following bundle:

1. B9007AA                               C.11.23.14     HP C/aC++ Developer's Bundle

2. B9007AA   C.11.31.01     HP C/aC++ Developer's Bundle

Because of differences in the versions we see our application dump cores running our C++ application.

BTW, let me know where could I get the downloadable of:

B9007AA                               C.11.23.14     HP C/aC++ Developer's Bundle
One is for 11iV2 (the first one). The other is for 11iV3 (the second one). I suspect your application may have been built with the second and is trying to run on the first?

As far as downloading, since this is a purchased product, you will be unlikely to find a download site other that HP SUM (software update manager):

http://www11.itrc.hp.com/service/sum/home.do

Pete

>>Will this versions dump core on certain occasions.

There's really no way for me (or anyone else) to predict that. Lousy code could be at fault. Or incompatible versions, like I suggested at first.

On the incompatible version subject, you should be aware that the B9007AA C.11.23.14 HP C/aC++ Developer's Bundle should only be installed on 11iV2 (HP-UX 11.23) and the B9007AA C.11.31.01 HP C/aC++ Developer's Bundle should only be installed on 11iV3 (HP-UX 11.31).

Pete

>1. B9007AA C.11.23.14 HP C/aC++ Developer's Bundle

This is obsolete A.06.15.

>2. B9007AA C.11.31.01 HP C/aC++ Developer's Bundle

This is even older, A.06.12. The latest patch for both is A.06.22.

>we see our application dump core running our C++ application.

Which fails? Do you have a stack trace?
What compile options are you using?
Have you applied any patches to either compiler?

>JRF: As far as I know, the versions you cited are "equivalent" ones for 11.23 versus 11.31

The secret decoder ring says different:
http://h21007.www2.hp.com/portal/site/dspp/menuitem.863c3e4cbcdc3f3515b49c108973a801/?ciid=8b080f1bace021100f1bace02110275d6e10RCRD
