Hello, we are running version 1.5_10 of HP's PA_RISC port of the hotspot JVM and are experiencing similar symptoms to bug 6546278 in the Sun/Linux/Windows version of the JVM. My primary question is, do the HP ports of java correspond to the Sun version numbers (i.e. do they start with Sun's source code for each update) or is it a separate source tree entirely. I'm also assuming that I can't get the source code for the HP port, correct?

The bug in question is described here:

http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6546278

Shalom,

JVM and java for HP-UX have been updated at least five times.

http://www.hp.com/go/java

If Java is open source, then HP can not close it up. So your assumption on the source code is probably wrong.

SEP
