      <title>Java VM tuning on ia64 servers</title>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a Java application, running on a ia64 server, failing with the following error:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;"java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have modified default heap size in the following way:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Xmn64m -Xms128m -Xmx128m&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and now it works fine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Moreover I would like to known:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. the default heap size of Java VM&lt;BR /&gt;2. hot to properly tune it&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Many thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Giuseppe</description>
