Hi
i have 2 host.
I want create a cluster .
When i do:
cmquerycl -v -C cmclconf.ascii -n ncpbmte1 -n ncpbees1

It failed with this error:
Timed out trying to query the following disk(s) on node ncpbmte1
/dev/dsk/c91t7d6
/dev/dsk/c91t7d7
/dev/dsk/c91t8d0
/dev/dsk/c91t8d1
/dev/dsk/c91t8d2
/dev/dsk/c91t8d3

Timed out trying to query the following disk(s) on node ncpbmte1
/dev/dsk/c88t2d7
/dev/dsk/c88t3d0
/dev/dsk/c88t3d1
/dev/dsk/c88t3d2
/dev/dsk/c88t3d3
/dev/dsk/c88t3d4
Note: Disks were discovered which are not in use by either LVM or VxVM.
Use pvcreate(1M) to initialize a disk for LVM or,
use vxdiskadm(1M) to initialize a disk for VxVM.

And not create cmclconf.ascii.
I have:
S.O. 11.23
ServiGuard 11.18 with patch PHSS_37601
I have configured cmclnodelist
I have check identd in /etc/inetd.conf
If i do cmquerycl -C cmclconf.ascii -n ncpbees1
it work and create a cmclconf.ascci for one node.
If i do cmquerycl -C cmclconf.ascii -n ncpbmte1
not work.
Help me!!! many point at all good response.
did you create pv with those disks?

i guess you have configure those disks but without create pv and belongs those on any VG and without create any file system.

check your cluster configuration file.

Well there appears to be a problem querying certain devices on each node, as per the comment:
Timed out trying to query the following disk(s) on node ncpbmte1
So you need to find out WHY it cannot query these disks.
On node ncpbmte1 go use ioscan etc to verify these devices.

Ignore the comment:
Note: Disks were discovered which are not in use by either LVM or VxVM.
Use pvcreate(1M) to initialize a disk for LVM or, use vxdiskadm(1M) to initialize a disk for VxVM.

This is just an informative message.
You could, if needed, add inthe -k option to cmquerycl to reduce disk probing.

Hi,

Run ioscan -funC disk on both the nodes and see if required disks are available specially disk which are comming from storage box.

Also try running insf -e on node ncpbmte1 after running ioscan

No common disk should be in No_HW state.

Also, if possible create Vgs on first node node and try importing to ncpbmte1 and see the results.
