      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In my HP UNIX server every user getting the following messages after copy right message.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;COLUMNS=158;&lt;BR /&gt;LINES=47;&lt;BR /&gt;export COLUMNS LINES; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can any one guid me to fix this issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;Sujith.</description>

      <description>&amp;gt;JRF: Look for a resize command in your /etc/profile. This command only applies to xterm terminals&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Right.  Or dtterm or hpterm.&lt;BR /&gt;Typically this would be as: eval `resize`&lt;BR /&gt;Which also shouldn't print.</description>

This is completely useless without eval.&lt;BR /&gt;The standard HP-UX profile doesn't contain that, so decades ago I added it to my .profile.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So you can either comment it out or delete it.  Or add what I suggested.  Or ask your users to add mine to their .profiles.</description>
