PHP Upgrade

Hi,

I've had a request from a customer to get a MySQL client running on our HPUX 11.23 PA server.

The initial request, was to install perl package DBD::mysql but this proved rather problematic as it had a dependancy which wouldn't 'make' but I won't go into all that.

The customer has now come back and said that he has seen that PHP is installed on the server, but the version would need upgrading to allow him to do what he needs to. So my questions is can I just upgrade PHP on the server, it seems to be part of Apache...

=> swlist -l fileset | grep -i php
hpuxwsAPACHE.PHP                      B.2.0.50.01    4.3.8 base
hpuxwsAPACHE.PHP2                     B.2.0.50.01    4.3.8 base (PA Binaries)

will this have an impact on the Apache server? (I'm guessing it will)

Any help greatly appreciated, I'm a bit of newbie with regards to PHP and MySQL clients, etc.

Apologies if I've missed any vital information or this is in the wrong section, wasn't sure where to put it.

Thanks, Steve.
