    <description>hi, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i cant access to the server right now..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;but if the command is working, where should i add the command ? which file ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sorry for those question, i just starting to learn oracle 2 days ago :D</description>

      <description>Hi all,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I instaleld the Oracle 9i in our HP UX yesterday, and tried to run the command sqlplus, but i got this error&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ sqlplus&lt;BR /&gt;sh: sqlplus:  not found.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the path &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ echo $PATH&lt;BR /&gt;/usr/bin:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/contrib/bin:/usr/contrib/Q4/bin:/opt/ipf/bin:/opt/hparray/bin:/opt/nettladm/bin:/opt/fcms/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/opt/resmon/bin:/usr/contrib/kwdb/bin:/opt/wbem/bin:/opt/wbem/sbin:/opt/graphics/common/bin:/usr/sbin/diag/contrib:/opt/sfm/bin:/opt/upgrade/bin:/opt/sec_mgmt/bastille/bin:/opt/dsau/bin:/opt/dsau/sbin:/opt/firefox:/opt/gnome/bin:/opt/mozilla:/opt/perl/bin:/opt/sec_mgmt/spc/bin:/opt/ssh/bin:/opt/hpsmh/bin:/opt/thunderbird:/opt/gwlm/bin:/usr/contrib/bin/X11:/opt/ignite/bin:/opt/swa/bin&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ echo $ORACLE_HOME&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and the environment,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ env | grep -i oracle&lt;BR /&gt;LOGNAME=oracle&lt;BR /&gt;HOME=/home/oracle&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;during installation, i set the ORACLE_HOME variable in /opt/oracle...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please, any one help ?</description>

      <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sqlplus is in your $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory. check it's in your path.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kenan.</description>

      <description>Your PATH contains no references to oracle at all.  You need to add the appropriate locations into your PATH and set all the other appropriate environment variables as well.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pete</description>

      <description>oh yeah, i managed to login as sysdba , followed the instructions from the guide.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;but when i issue STARTUP&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it prompt up sltln:environment variable cannot be evaluated..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;do i need to set the environment var ? how to do that ? pls someone teach me :D</description>
