We have our HP machine SAN attached, and all
ADIC tape drives is known via the fabric.

The ADIC is lunched by TINA .

We are not able to do more than 60 Gb/h .

Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks

You did not supply any information about the model of the tape drive, and the computer model. Modern tape drives are faster than disks (such as the Ultrium 960 (LTO3) at minimum of 200 GB/hr, 400 GB/hr if the data is compressible) so you need special software to keep the tape drive running at full speed. Most disks can't run at this speed, especially if there are other activities on the system. Your computer may be too slow to keep up with the tape drive.

In either case, when the tape runs out of data, it must stop, backup and start running when more data arrives. Modern commercial backup software will start multiple streams of data into a shared memory pool to keep the drive busy. If TiNA has this ability, be sure to configure as many parallel reader processes as TiNA will allow.

What is the model of your computer and the model of your tape drive?
