    <description>I'm running HPUX 11.00 and Veritas volume manager.&lt;BR /&gt;I'm getting an "I/O error" message when I try to umount a disabled VM Volume.&lt;BR /&gt;Anyone know how I can force the umount?</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If I was in your place I would schedule a reboot. It's the cleanest way of unmounting .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ensure that /etc/fstab has the filesystem commented out.</description>

      <description>That's the problem, I know a reboot fixes it, but I would like to avoid a reboot if I can.</description>

      <description>According to the manpage for umount, there are no options at all. Just "umount /mnt_pnt".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sounds like you may need to give in to rebooting.</description>
