Hi,

I have 2 servers in MCSG.
i want to compare the all config files (OS/mcsg/security/user/printer) in both servers, to check if the things will work if the package is moved to other node. The package has never been testes in last 3 yrs. so i need to be very sure.

is there a easy scripting way to compare servers ?

thanks in advance.
regards,
Pradep

Shalom Pradep,

If you require customized scripts, there is a large number of custom scripts in this thread.

http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=178514

SEP

Hi Pradep,

You have a 2 node cluster. Fact is your ascii and control files, etc. might be the same. That doesn't mean it will fail over right. You need to confirm that solid mapfiles were created (vgexport) and steps run on the other (vgimport) so they will come. You need to confirm all disk is masked properly - cause in 3 years more disk or new lvols probably got created. So are the directories on the other box there for new mountpoints?
See....lots more than just comparing some scripts in files.

I'd start with running a cmcheckconf on my cluster, that will point out some things that need your attention.

Just my 2 cents,
Rgrds,
Rita
