Migration Environment (ME) 1.4 is available for 11v2.. and Portpkg is the dependency which is also for version 11v2. Is there any equivalent for 11v3 or is it already included in 11v3 base OS. do we have to install ME to get the VT420 emulation support on 11v3 or it is not required?

ME 1.1 - B.11.63 - HP-UX 11.31?

Shalom,

vt100 or vt220 usually does the job in most cases.

Are you certain that these won't work with ME? They are built into the OS already.

SEP

You can use untic and tic. Copy the vt100 definition to a working location. Use the untic command and redirect the results to a file. Edit the file changing the vt100 references to vt420. Then use tic to recompile the results. The new file will be placed at /usr/share/lib/terminfo/v/vt420.

Note that you may need to also do the *-nam file.

> [...] VT420 emulation support [...]

What does this mean, exactly? Are you
1) looking for a program which emulates a
VT420, or 2) do you already have some program
which emulates a VT420 (Which program?
Running on what?) but 11i v3 doesn't know
what a VT420 is?

Do you really need VT420 features, or would
any old(er) VTxxx emulation work?
