CPU speed on Itanium systems

I have two Itanium based systems (1 rx and Integrity SD Montecito) that show different output on same command:
(RX)
echo "itick_per_usec/D" |adb -o /stand/vmunix /dev/kmem

1600

(SD)
echo "itick_per_usec/D" |adb -o /stand/vmunix /dev/kmem

400

On the rx it gives the right value but not on Integrity SD.
Any ideas?

Use "machinfo" instead and see what that reports.

Once we started implementing IA I changed my scripts to use machinfo. When u get to 11.31 the output of machinfo is changed and will have to fix scripts again.

PROC_SPEED=`machinfo|awk '/Clock speed/ {print $4}'`
NU_PROC=` machinfo|awk '/Number of CPUs/ {print $5}'`
MODEL=`model|awk '{print $4}'`
MEM_MB=` machinfo|awk '/Memory/ {print $3}'`

use "machinfo" or "print_manifest" to blow the confusion.

If a system reports only 400MHz for the CPU you need to patch the system.

Sorry, don't remember which one - have a look at the ITRC patch database.
