    <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;can you post the piece of code and the error messages?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What is the environment in which you are trying to do the test?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may look into SQLDEVELOPER which allows you to create custom connection to the database. e.g.&lt;BR /&gt;jdbc:oracle:thin:scott/@localhost:1521:orcl&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;revert!&lt;BR /&gt;kind regards&lt;BR /&gt;yogeeraj</description>

      <description>Anyone have a simple script that test the jdbc connection to a database.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I found some on the web but can't get it to compile.</description>
