cluster lock disk

I am able to build the cluster packages, etc.

Whenever I try to add the lock disk I cannot get the cluster to start.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well...the cluster lock has to be on a cluster aware vg....

Doing a cmquerycl to create the cluster should pick the lock dick for you:

cmquerycl -v -C /etc/cmcluster/clust1.config -n ftsys9 -n ftsys10

Disk needs to be in a place, such as a jbod or san where both nodes can connect to it via scsi.

The volume group the disk is in must not be activated automatically in /etc/lvmrc

It must be activated by the package configuration.

What error are you getting?
If you are able to configure packages, have you configured the cluster? If so, how many nodes, and if it needed a cluster lock disc, did it work then?
Is the cluster lock disc in a shared VG across the nodes?

Well......to give you another option....
You could simply not use the lock disk and set up a cluster quorum server.

It's simple to set up and eliminates the need for a lock disk. Now your cluster can expand past 4 nodes (should you ever need that option in the future...and who knows what the future may hold).

Could you attach the cluster's ascii file and the output of "ioscan -fnC disk"?

You need to read carefully the documentation....May be no need to attach the document because there are many links to usefull document that everyone shown you

Try to apply cluster conf on node in wich Cluster Lock VG is active.
SG must mark disk as cluster lock disk.

Instead of doing a cluster lock disk, why not just set up a Quorum server outside the cluster. It's really easy.
