    <description>&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hi, Do i need to create a depot for this file? When I run swinstall and select local directory&lt;BR /&gt;and give the full path to the file it complains with:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is currently no depot software on host "istanbul" at location /u/user/pgms..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have tried this with the just the path and path/file. Same results.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-john&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Yes Bill is right.&lt;BR /&gt;YOu have to use swinstall to install it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Run swinstall&lt;BR /&gt;select the local directory path.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks</description>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;You may need to unpack it first, do;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sh HP11e118.SD&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And see if it unpacks a .txt and a .depot file, then you can install from the .depot file.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Make sure you put the file either into a directory path that IS registered...or you apply the swreg suggestion (for the directory path it's at) that TG stated above.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I find sometimes when installing that I also have to type the name of the file.&lt;BR /&gt;Another suggestion is try changing your view option.&lt;BR /&gt;Tab over to View/Change Software View/Start with Product.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps,&lt;BR /&gt;Rita&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi John&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You need to do the following :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;do a file  HP11e118.SD  to know thwe type of the file , incase it is a compressed file umcopress it or untar it . then register the depot as :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;swreg -l depot /tmp/HP11e118.SD &lt;BR /&gt;assuming that HP11e118.SD  is the deport file or the uncompresed file .&lt;BR /&gt;then run&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;swinstall -s /opt/HPHP11e118.SD &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;do a man swinstall in cse you get into more troubles.&lt;BR /&gt;All the best.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Manoj Srivastava</description>
