Hi guys,

Just a quick question I'm hoping someone can answer for me:

Does MC serviceguard hold the software ID's? I.E. If my system board fails on one half of my cluster and I replace with no SS_UPDATE will serviceguard continue to work or is it dependant on the software ID?

I have told my customer it will continue to work but I can't find the documents on the web to confirm my answer.

Yes. It will work. You just need to have the license code for MCSG.

Hi,

If you replace system board, or even server
Service Guard will work - there is no dependencis between H/W and licenses (only number of CPU-s - licenses in 11i are for CPU)
