The only issue I see is the ability for all system to see the same storage - with SCSI cables. All servers must have access to the cluster lock (unless you go for a quorom server instead). Fibre attached would be better. No issue mixing those platforms. You need to have the same OS/MC/SG versions on all nodes.

BTW - you do NOT have to have a packge be able to run on all nodes - example - package A only runs on L Class, and Package B only runs on RP's - if you want.

Rgds...Geoff

I currently have a very stable 2 node cluster consisting of 2 L2000's and the Storageworks 2100. Connected SCSI. What do I have to do in order to connect a third and fourth machine to the disk?

Also, what if I wanted to put two rp series machines with the L's? Will that create a problem?

That's what I thought. I was thinking perhaps there might be a controller to put between the array and the machines that they would attach to and then that controller would access the array. Does this black box exist?

FYI, you can eliminate the cluster lock disk if the cluster has 3 or more nodes so you can eliminate that as a concern. More than 4 and you would have to use and quorum server.
