Hi Tienna,

Nodes with different serviceguard versions can be in the same cluster.

However, it is meant for only rolling upgrades. If you are intending to make it a long term setup, I suggest you upgrade all your nodes to 11.16.

-Sri

I also want to update to 11.16 but I think License is not match.
Can you show me evidence that confirm MC-SG 11.14 is able to work witch MC-SG 11.16?

Hi,

Look at the following release notes

http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B3935-90078/B3935-90078.html

section "Using Serviceguard A.11.16 to reach earlier versions" section in the compatibility section.

Again, that is intended only for 'rolling' upgrades.

-Sri
And I should also add that you may end up runnng serviceguard commands on the node with 11.16 as the serviceguard versions are backward compatible.

To make your life bit simple, install 11.14 first on the new node, add it to the cluster and then upgrade it to 11.16. See example rolling upgrades in this document.

http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B3936-90079/B3936-90079.html

-Sri
