Hi All,

I am configuring mcsg for 2 node cluster. On failover server I created all LUNs, PVs, VGs and then LVs. After that I imported it to main server. But when I run

cmquerycl -v -n dtcellf -n dtcellm

I got the attached error message regarding PV does not have IDs on main server( dtcellm).
Do I have to run 'pvcreate' on main server( dtcellm) before
1.mkdir /dev/vgunicorn and mknod ?

How can I solve this problem?

TIA
Richard

Hi ,
It is a warning only. Moreover it may be a CD/DVD ROM Device. You can goahead with configuring your cluster.
These are NOT errors, but warnings. All they are doing is warning you that there are discs out there that you will not be able to use unless you pvcreate them, etc.
But of course a CDROM/DVD will also be seen as a disk, and always generate this warning.
Once a disk has been pvcreated on one node, never redo a pvcreate from another node, as you will undo all of the work you have previously done.

Hi All,

Thanks for your replies. I should have checked it twice.....it is indeed dvd drive.

Our cluster is up and running now, but still having one problem. Regarding that,I posted the mail just now.( I don't know whether it is our cluster architectural problem??), you can see my mail and suggest me.

Thanks again,
Best regards,
Richard
