    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Generally these messages are generated when an application or session has been terminated abnormally. An example could be where a user has turned off their PC without gracefully logging out.       <description>Hi Folks,&lt;BR /&gt;  In one of my system today I got some rrror messages on the syslog file which is related with inetd .Can some one throw some light what each error means.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Jun 27 05:34:08 gemini telnetd[22564]: Error checking child termination status&lt;BR /&gt;: error 4: Interrupted system call&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Jun 27 05:38:44 gemini telnetd[6952]: recv: Connection reset by peer&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;May 29 15:14:42 gemini telnetd[14051]: getpid : peer died: Error 0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;May 29 15:13:52 gemini rlogind[14047]: Login failure (exit(2) from login(1))&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanx &amp;amp; Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;V.Tamilvanan.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
