Question about GNU Ghostscript 6.51

I downloaded the precomiled binary for Ghostscript 6.51 on 11.00 from the Porting Archive. Do I also need to pick up the zlib, PNG, and JPG binaries too, or should those be included in the Ghostscript depot?

Is there any advantage to compiling my own GS from the source as opposed to the pre-compiled depot?

You need to install all other binaries, they dont come with ghostscript

Do I also need to install the two font packages I also see on SPAC? (version 5.10, only in 10.20 depot version). When I run GS now, it complains about fonts.

This sure seems like a bit more work than it should be. Too bad somebody couldn't just put Ghostscript, the other libs, and the necessary fonts all into one convenient bundle for download. :)
