    <description>You know that's a good question.  I also have PACKAGE_TYPE for the package.conf file listed as FAILOVER instead of SYSTEM_MULTI_NODE.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Don't know.</description>

      <description>hi &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I read the following note in building an OPS cluster configuration &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;â  You must create the OPS instance package with a PACKAGE_TYPE of&lt;BR /&gt;FAILOVER, but the fact that you are entering only one node ensures that&lt;BR /&gt;the instance will only run on that node.â  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Why we can not but the second node so when the package fails it will start in second node?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best reg</description>

      <description>In an OPS environment, each node runs an Oracle package which accesses the SAME database.  That is the difference between standard ServiceGuard, which allows a set of data to be accessed from only one node at any given time, and ServiceGuard-OPS (now known as ServiceGuard with Extensions for Oracle RAC).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It would be pointless to fail a package over to another node when that other node is already running an Oracle instance which is already accessing the same data for users.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-s.d.</description>
