hi sanjiv, Thanks for ur reply sanjiv. I too did not find any other compiler and was curious to know if there is one avalable. The reason for my curiousity is that I am presently working on optimising a simulation code on HPUX. I almost get similar performances with GNU and HP compilers and see that some advanced language options like "restrict keyword " does not funtion properly with multi-dimensional pointers. So, wanted to try this with some other compilers which I am not able to find. If anyone knows about any commercially available compilers for HPUX please inform me.thanks in advancesunil

Hi,

I am very surprised by HP aCC generate code not being much faster than gcc's.

Have you tried high levels of optims?
Have you tried PBO?

Please have a look at
http://devresource.hp.com/STK/partner/perf_tuning.pdf

Can you provide us with a bit more information on your application?

What are you command line (compile/link) options?

Regards
Cyrille
