I have 5 connections on the same lan segment. lan0 is at HW Path 0/0/0/0 and the other 4 are split evenly between the 4 port cards.

Cheers

Pete

I have 2 N4000's that I am configuring with SG. I have installed 2 4 port 10/100 cards in 0/10/0/0 and 1/8/0/0 with connections to sepatate switches for resilience. When I start the cluster, the service IP address binds to lan0 rather than any of the ports on the other cards.

This is the relevant line from netstat -r:

10.200.136.0 hxsdpud1 U 3 0 lan0 1500
10.200.136.0 sdprod U 3 0 lan0:1 1500

What I want is for the service IP address (sdprod) to bind to lan5 on H/W path 0/10/0/0/4/0

I know this is probably quite straight forward, but I'm used to VCS and SG is all new to me.

Hi!

SG will assign the package IP address to the interface which is in the same subnet.
So, do you have lan5 on the same network as lan0?

Regards,
Andr??

MC/SG will bind the relocatable IP to the lan card on the same subnet, in your case lan0. Binding to another lan card really doesn't buy you much though.

-Santosh
