Cannot install software into host from SD (Software Distributor)

Hi Friends,
I am unable to install software on my HP9000 server (HP-UX 11i) as something has gone wrong. Following is output of swacl and and associated error message from swagentd.log for your reference.

# swacl -l root
#
# swacl Installed Software Access Control List

SWAGENTD.LOG:
ERROR: An unexpected error occurred while performing the requested
operation on the "root" ACL at "datacap:/". This is probably
the result of a failed Remote Procedure Call to a daemon, a
failure in the SD ACL manager, or the improper removal of the
ACL. If this problem persists, contact your system
administrator.

ERROR: Access denied to root@10.10.20.33 to list socs. No (r)ead
permission on host. 07/08/02 16:38:09 BDT

Hi,

Check if the swagentd ir running
ps -ef | grep swagentd
If not start it with /usr/sbin/swagentd

Also make sure the name resolving is properly configured. Check /etc/hosts for the localhost and loopback entry. Run nslookup.
