Hello. Has anyone attempted to load JRE1.3 on HPUX 10.20 ? Is it even compatible?

Haven't myself, try it and let me know if it breaks anything :-)

On a more serious note - won't the swinstall fail if depot is incompatible? I'd just test it on a non-prod machine if I were you.

Java 2 isn??t supported in 10.20

I was able to install JRE1.1.8 on 10.20. I don't know about full Java 2 functionality, however JRE1.1.8 is being applied without problems. Any comments on JRE1.3 ??

Hi Terry,

For more details, from:

Java 1.1.8.04 JDR/JRE and
Java 1.2.2.05 SDK/JRE and
Java 1.3.0.00 SDK/JRE

is not supported in HP-UX 10.20.

All version lower than these versions, is supported in HP-UX10.20.

But HP advise all customer to don't use Java 2 with HP-UX10.20, because the kernel of 10.20 is not multithreded.
