Printer issue

When i issue the following command

hpnpadmin -iv printer_name
*** Receive NO snmp response! *** (printer down, cable off, or wrong Get community name?)

get the following error.

Please help me resolve this issue.

That means exactly what the error is:

printer down, cable off, or wrong Get community name

Is the printer powered off?
Is it a jetdirect printer?
Is the ip address set incorrectly(compared to what is in DNS)?
Is the cable disconnected?

or the SNMP itself is not enabled on the printer side
