CPU and virtual memory/physical memory upgrade

Hi Guys,

I am using B.11.11 U 9000/800 HP-UX server.
I need to find out ..
1. currently there are 4 cpus so Could i add more cpu if yes then how many.

2.how much virtual memory i ca n upgrade?

3.how much virtual memory i can n upgrade?

please help

You can upgrade until all supported CPU and memory slots are full.

You need to tell more details about the server.

Run
# model
and
# echo "selclass qualifier memory;info;wait;infolog" | /usr/sbin/cstm

and post the results.

The L3000 (aka rp5470) can have up to 4 CPUs - you have the maximum already installed.

The log output regarding the memory is not useful. Your diagnostics version is very old (2003), you should update and run again.

As this is an L3000 with 4 cpus already, NO you cannot add any more CPUs. 4 is the maximum on this model server.

is there any solution other then upgrading the stm now so that i can find out how much physical and virtual memory i can upgrade

Your version is old and unsupported, so you should consider to do the upgrade.

You can try to run the command again and select "view" in the menu.
