Hi

I am compiling a C++ program on HP-UX 11.0
and the compilation gives an error saying
can't find library "ld".

I checked and the machine where the error
occured does not have /usr/lib/libld.a
but other machines do (compilation works
on those machines).

Where can one get this libld.a? What do
I need to install on the system to get it?

thanks
Victor Lee

Victor,

I don't think this is your problem !!!
What I can say is if PHSS_22514 is installed on this system then it's most likely the patch removed the file.... and the other systems simply don't have that patch installed.... it's my understanding that this file/lib is not actually need on hpux 11.00 for *most* customers.

keep us posted on the results ..... but I *suspect* a more likely cause is differences in patches between the various systems involved here .... I may be wrong though.
