      <description>I have to create two raw device files under the volume group /dev/vgora&lt;BR /&gt;that is /dev/vgora/raw1 &lt;BR /&gt;/dev/vgora/raw2&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/vgora/raw2 space is already in /dev/vgora &lt;BR /&gt;volume group.&lt;BR /&gt;volume group status is available shared server&lt;BR /&gt;on one node(eg:hp_a)&lt;BR /&gt;volume group status is avaialable shared client&lt;BR /&gt;on the second node(hP_b)&lt;BR /&gt;my first server name is hp_a and second one is hp_b&lt;BR /&gt;4 packages are running 2 packages in hp_a(nfs1, orapkg2) and two pacakges in hp_b(nfs2, orapkg2) i am using oracle 9i and hp-ux 11i&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;what are the steps I have to follow two create &lt;BR /&gt;two raw device files on both noded what I mentioned above.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I mean&lt;BR /&gt;database shutdown&lt;BR /&gt;service guard shutdown etc...&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I'm really not sure if I understand your question, but if you create a LVOL in your VG vgora (let's say it is called "raw2") you will get a "raw" device called "rraw2".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;see&lt;BR /&gt;man lvcreate</description>
