The actual download page has a link to installation instructions. In HP-UX 11.11, SSH has certain patch requirements: please read the instructions and verify that you have the necessary patches installed.

In most cases, the default configuration will be fully usable as-is, with no need to configure anything.

If you have special requirements, read the documentation to find out what can be done, choose what you wish to do, and then do it.

Also consider installing the HP-UX Strong Random Number Generator driver (KRNG11i), especially if your system will serve a lot of SSH connections simultaneously. It will make SSH connection startup faster.

KRNG11i is a kernel patch, so installing it will require a reboot.

In HP-UX 11.23 and later, the functionality of KRNG11i is included in the basic HP-UX operating system.

1) Download Secure Shell in windows pc from HP site as per your requirement (URL given below).

2) Copy/Upload the downloaded .depot file in /tmp mount point of the server.

3) Login in the server as a super user.

a)Enter the swlist command to verify whether you have downloaded the depot file properly.

# swlist -d â s /tmp/.depot

b)Enter the following command to install the secure shell
# swinstall -s /tmp/.depot T1471AA

What recommended patches? If from HP, you'll need a support contract.

I have made OpenSSH-6.7p1 (released 2014-10-07) depot available on http://tux.nl/itrc/web/ for HP-UX 11.11-PA2/64. It depends on OpenSSL-1.0.1j (released on 2014-10-15) which is also available there.

The depots will install in /usr/local
