Greetings and hello to all.

I am using an HP-UX 11.11. I tried using ACL to set file permissions, but I get an error when following the example in man setacl. I would greatly appreciate gettting help in the right direction. Here is the command and error.

setacl -m user:witwicky:rwx test2
acl failed for "Operation not supportedMemory fault(coredump)

What type of filesystem is the file on? ACLs may not work over NFS?

Thank you for the reply. The drive is NTFS. I may not be able to use ACLs. I am reading on it and will update.
