re : online diagnostic and purging log files

Hi Guys,
Can I check if anyone of you have done a online diagnostic check on a rp server before and in exercise the hardware to check health status. Can I have the steps to how to perform the health check and roughly how much time is needed for the check. Also, can anyone advice how can I purge the log files from the server.

Usually it is done by HP CE during PM (preventive maintaince).

please schedule time to HP CE to have one.

Hi,

For checking the health, you can watch the /var/opt/resmon/log/event.log and /var/adm/syslog.log other than that, ask HP CE for PM.

For purging the log, you can go to SAM -> Routine Tasks -> System Log Files -> choose the log files -> Action -> Trim -> recommended or trim to zero
