Oracle 10.2.0.2 Enterprise manager & flash back recovery

Can someone make sense out out Enterprise manager and flash back recovery?

History...
We had issues with a database that we could not recover from. (actually quicker to bring db down, and restore a fresh copy of all .../oradata/[SID]/*

Brought db up no problem, but here is the question.

In flash recovery on EM, we enable flash recovery and gave it 5GB, and archive mode.
We then enabled Flashback database, for point and time recovery.
We set a retention time of 24 hours.
Flashback Time Nov 1, 2007 6:27:46 PM

But if we go into Administration > archive mode
We have files back from Oct 26.
Now these are from before we copied a fresh db over.

How do we clean these files out?
And how come it states:
Reclaimable Flash Recovery Area (B) 0
Under maintenance > Recovery settings > flashback??
I guess I am not fulling understanding what they mean by this.

Shalom,

If you want to use the cold backup, you may want to clear the Flash Area.

Is it possible there were no updates on the back dated tablespaces?
