      <description>No, you cannot view a password for a user.  The password is a one-time hash of what was entered when the user changed  his/her password.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The root user can change any users password without knowing the previous one.</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;root can reset any user password if files is the nsswitch.conf configuration.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So you can't view it, but you can change it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
