For doing some analysis I have been requested to install SSH. I have downloaded the product from the HPUX site, along with the May 2008 getting Started Guide. (still going through it) Before I install it I thought I'd through the question out.

Once installed what might quit working?

Will telnet, remote log in, ftp, remsh, and other items continue to work?

Thanks in advance.

Get the most current vision.

All the services you mentioned will still work.

Secure Shell, based on openssh is an alternative that does not impact any of the services you mention.

It can should you choose replace them all.

SEP

Hi Charles,

Secure shell is another product which is going to work along with whatever you mentioned telnet, remote log in, ftp, remsh, and other items.

Import thing is secure shell provides all the above sevices(ssh, sftp, slogin, scp) in secure way.

Unless you comment out the services in /etc/inetd.conf all the services continue to run.
