Would I need to uninstall HP Secure Shell on my HPUX server prior to installing an SSH Tectia client on the server? Could they coexist peacefully or would they conflict with each other?

Hi Eric,

It is not listed as a prerequisite for the install of tectia ssh, to remove HP Secure Shell.

http://www.ssh.com/support/documentation/online/ssh/adminguide/60/server-systemrequirements.html

There is warning about processes using port 22

---
Before installing SSH Tectia Server on Unix platforms, stop any OpenSSH servers running on port 22, or change their listener port. You do not need to uninstall the OpenSSH software.
---

Regards,
Robert-Jan
