Received garbage whileInstalling HP-UX 11.11 OS

While installing HP-UX 11.11 OS I received garbage after making system selections.

What Happen?

Should I do a cold boot and boot from CDROM again to restart installation again?

Need a fix.

You're going to have to give more information than that. What exactly do you mean: "I received garbage after making system selections."

Can you give an example?

I assume that by "garbage" you mean that the display screen was somehow garbled. I suspect that if you are using a PC as a terminal emulator that 1) you an emulating a terminal that does not agree with your TERM setting 2) Your emulator is buggy. 3) You need to adjust your keyboard mapping.

I would start the install over but this time make sure that your PC emulation is set. vt100 is a good choice.

I agree with Clay. Use a different emulator

I have experienced the same issue, and corrected it by using the windows hyperterminal instead of the commercial vt100 emulator package.
