    <description>Allene,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;These are the daemons related to CDE and as long as you do not wish to use the CDE disabling these daemons from running should not cause any other problems. Now depends what do you mean by impact on OS - if you mean anything like will the OS crash or will there be any problems in the functioning of non CDE components then I do not think there should be any problems.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Ninad</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;dtspc --&amp;gt; CDE Subprocess Control Service Daemon, check "man dtspcd"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;xdmcp --&amp;gt; CDE X Display Control Manager&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cmsd --&amp;gt; CDE Calander Manager &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are NOT using CDE you can disable these services.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Robert-Jan</description>
