PRNG is not seeded on 11.23

Hi All,

I just restored my server(ignite client) to last night's system image which is in an ignite server. Everything went fine except when I tried to ssh, I got the following error:

PRNG is not seeded.

What am I missing here???

Is prngd running?

ps -ef | grep prngd

Shalom,

You may need to reinstall your strong random number generator depot, if thats even a separate item on 11.23. Otherwise this may be a sign of a NIC card getting flakey, meaning you want to run diagnostics and prepare fo replacement.

Hi Prathibha,

11.23 uses /dev/urandom for generating random numbers. You may need to check # ll /dev/urandom and anybody is using it ..

# fuser -u /dev/urandom
