    <description>Hi Ermin and Giacomo,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;TONS of THANKS for your strong support and help.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ermin: it worked with using the following coomand on Linux machine(s)&lt;BR /&gt;# /usr/bin/rsh &lt;HPUX machine=""&gt; uname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Giacomo: Thanks to you as well for your replies. the pbm was on the HP side only because I was getting the same error from differenr linux machines.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;God Bless and keep up the good work :)&lt;BR /&gt;Take Care,&lt;BR /&gt;Puneet (India)&lt;/HPUX&gt;</description>

      <title>rsh and kerebros pbm</title>

      <description>Hi Everyone,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am trying to do:&lt;BR /&gt;# rsh &lt;HPUX 11.11="" machine=""&gt; uname &lt;BR /&gt;from any linux(redhat) machine and it just hangs over there, the cursor keeps blinking/waiting.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If I do &lt;BR /&gt;# rsh &lt;HPUX 11.11="" machine=""&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;from any linux(redhat) machine it gives the error:&lt;BR /&gt;krb_sendauth failed: You have no tickets cached&lt;BR /&gt;and then asks for &lt;BR /&gt;password:&lt;BR /&gt;After i give the password it works.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please advice how can i do &lt;BR /&gt;# rsh &lt;HPUX 11.11="" machine=""&gt; uname etc.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Tried searching a lot on google and trying some commands, but no luck :(&lt;BR /&gt;Please guide.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks Much,&lt;BR /&gt;Puneet.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/HPUX&gt;&lt;/HPUX&gt;&lt;/HPUX&gt;</description>

      <description>Hello, &lt;BR /&gt;are you sure that in your HP system the /.rhosts  file is correct configured with the name of the clients?&lt;BR /&gt;Tries to insert a + within these file and tries again, if these OK, than edit again whit hostname and user!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Giacomo</description>

      <description>Hi Giacomo,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for the prompt reply.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I added in .rhosts file:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;LINUX machine="" name=""&gt; root&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am able to do &lt;BR /&gt;# rsh &lt;HPUX11.11 machinename=""&gt; and now it does NOT asks for a password and goes directly into the HPUX machine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But I am still not able to do from linux machine:&lt;BR /&gt;# rsh &lt;HPUX11.11 machine=""&gt; uname &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please guide&lt;BR /&gt;Puneet.&lt;/HPUX11.11&gt;&lt;/HPUX11.11&gt;&lt;/LINUX&gt;</description>

      <description>It's probably firewall (iptables?) on the Linux system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;'rsh &lt;HOST&gt; &lt;COMMAND&gt;' uses remshd on the server side&lt;BR /&gt;'rsh &lt;HOST&gt;' uses rlogind on the server side&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;remshd from HP-UX system is making inbound connection to your Linux system to pass stderr from &lt;COMMAND&gt;.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So if you do have firewall on your Linux system disable it temporarily to see if it helps.&lt;/COMMAND&gt;&lt;/HOST&gt;&lt;/COMMAND&gt;&lt;/HOST&gt;</description>

      <description>HI,&lt;BR /&gt;I understand that the problem is not on the Server side, but on the client side.&lt;BR /&gt;In other word you have to configure the "tickets" whith a kerberos command (like kinit and klist) on your linux system,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Giacomo</description>
