If you are asking where /usr/bin/adb is located, it is part of the OS-Core.CMDS-MIN fileset.

If this is not your question, can you tell us more about what you are trying to do.
Where adb is located? Do a find starting from root as: #find / -name "adb" or run
#which adb.
adb is located in /usr/bin/adb
You can start it by typing #adb, the sytem will answer with adb> or giving option in the same command line #adb ...
See man adb for details.
Hope this answer your question or at least help a little bit...

find /

Not a very good idea at all, especially on servers with hundreds of Gigabytes (or terabytes) of disk. System executables are in 2 basic locations: /usr/bin and /usr/sbin. Optional products will normally have executables in /usr/contrib or /usr/local. The adb command is in /usr/bin.

You mention using adb to tell whether your program is running? ps is much more useful as adb requires extensive information on internal kernal labels and structures.
