How do I set a boot password on my rp5400 server.
Audit people demand this.

log on as root

passwd

To password protect single user mode:

sam

Auditing and Security

System Security Policies

General User account policies

On that screen there is an option to password protect single user mode.

If you use it the most common method of fixing root password forgotten or locked and not known will be denied to you.
