Support for bastille on HP-UX

Does anyone know how support works for Bastille on HP. Do HP support the product and do they support actions carried out by Bastille,, etc etc.

Do i need a support contract and if so what level

HP ported it as you see in the link above.

I believe if you have a software contract and a question, they will try and help you resolve it.

I have extensive experience with the product. If you post a detailed question to itrc, myself and others would love to help.

HP does support the standard bundle of HP-UX Bastille available from software.hp.com.

All actions taken by Bastille result in supported configurations, except where clearly noted (directory permission modifications).

During the development of HP-UX 11i version 2, all internal HP partners tested their product with Bastille for interactions. The results of those tests are documented in the Bastille questions, so you can be aware of any interactions at the time you are making the decisions.

You need a basic support contract for HP-UX in order to contact the HP response center.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to download Bastille from Italy, on at least 5 different days in different parts of the day.

And with HP-UX 11i V2, on page 60 of the "installation and update guide" September 2004, it states:

"HP-UX Bastille (B6849AA) is included as default-installed software on the Operating Environment media."
