The message is strange: rcmd is complaining it doesn't know a host called ssh.

Could it be that you try to do something like rcmd ssh <HOST>, resulting in rcmd trying to connect to the host ssh to run command <HOST>?

</HOST></HOST>

Strange thing is that ssh complains of unknown hosts with another string: 'no address associated with name' is what you get if the host is not resolvable by ssh.

So I think you need to do:
type ssh
And perhaps 'which ssh' too.

Just to make sure there is no alias or something else that is called ssh and is run instead of the real ssh on the server giving the error.
