      <description>The easiest way fer real in hp-ux 11.x is to use getconf.&lt;BR /&gt;man getconf will give you all sorts of information you can poll for.&lt;BR /&gt;getconf CPU_CHIP_TYPE&lt;BR /&gt;getconf MACHINE_MODEL&lt;BR /&gt;getconf MACHINE_IDENT&lt;BR /&gt;just to name a few.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Shannon</description>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;/usr/sbin/diag/contrib/pdcinfo would give you what you need.
