HPUX 11i - Command is respawning too rapidly

Hi. We recently installed HPUX11i along with the recommended patch bundles. We continue to receive the following message:

INIT: Command is respawning too rapidly

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Check the error what it is, and refer to /etc/inittab file.

That means that in the /etc/inittab file there is a service trying to start but is failing, because of the respawn option, init tries to start the service over and over.

One of the entries in /etc/inittab is creating the problem.

Thanks for the response. The message is id: samd /usr/sam/lbin/samd # system mgmt daemon

checked the inittab log, however can you shed some light on what i'm looking for in this log?

I do see the folling line in the file:

samd /usr/sam/lbin/samd # system mgmt daemon

there is some other information too....however not sure what it says.
