    <description>To list current settings &lt;BR /&gt;# ndd -get /dev/ip ip_forwarding &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To set to new value &lt;BR /&gt;# ndd -set /dev/ip ip_forwarding 0 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The changes will be lost after a reboot .Make entries in /etc/rc.config.d/nddconf file. &lt;BR /&gt;TRANSPORT_NAME[0]=ip &lt;BR /&gt;NDD_NAME[0]=ip_forwarding &lt;BR /&gt;NDD_VALUE[0]=0 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ndd -c will apply changes.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks</description>

      <description>unless someone has explicitly disabled it, since you said "interface cards" it implies you already have multiple interfaces, and HP-UX will by default forward packets.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;there is a bit more to it of course - you have to have systems on either side of the HP-UX box configured to use the HP-UX box as a router.</description>
