PAM module for SSO

I'm working on HP-UX11i to make a Single Sign On architecture. I use custom PAM module to authenticate users versus a SecurityServer. The PAM module work corrrectly on Solaris 8.0, but the same module on HP don't work.
I have the following question:
1)PAM framework is the same of Solaris?
2)How I have to compile PAM module on HP?

I don't think PAM works exactly the same as on Solaris, but check out the following docs - they are very informative and clear;
